WHO WE ARE

Lustrarte was born in 1974, the fruition of the dream and entrepreneurship of one man, José Leonel Jesus Faria.

Connected to the manufacturing industry from an early age, he was born and raised in Marinha Grande, a small town just 10 km from the Atlantic Ocean on the west coast of Portugal. He was a worker in the glass and mold industry and later became a plant manager. Over the years the dream to create a decorative lighting business grew with him but he was already 40 years old before he gave the idea body and life.

During the company’s first 24 years and his last, he planned, organized, developed and internationalized this dream, which now lives on in the will and dedication of his children Ana and Luis Faria.

The creative inspiration applied to the development of the company’s products and image is anchored in culture and tradition and is heavily influenced by the rustic and nautical motifs that characterize this mid-western region of Portugal.

The company’s philosophy remains unaltered: the final product is embodied and distinguished by the quality of the materials and processes used. It is a philosophy that has grown with the dream and it is now inseparable from the personality and way of being of all the people that every day dedicate their lives to its realization.

HOW WE DO IT

The experience of over four decades of creation, development, production and marketing of decorative lighting products, throughout the world, gives us a profound understanding of this business sector.

Over time and following a strategy based on product quality, the company has deepened its techniques in working with brass becoming a specialist in this raw material.

We have a highly qualified research and development department, equipped with specific skills in the areas of design, technical drawing, electrical standards and materials. Therefore, we have always been responsible for the conception, design and development of our products, continually watching the specific standards of the different world markets.

Harnessing all of these capabilities, the company has also been establishing partnerships with other prestigious international brands, while maintaining responsibility for the design and development of its products as well as for their manufacture.

This accumulated experience has also provided the company with the resources and capabilities to diversify in terms of materials. This diversification has enabled collaborations with businesses that are active in the areas of contracting and hospitality, allowing the development of products tailored to the wishes of customers and always with the Lustrarte quality assurance.
